As a school, Garfield North Outdoor Education Centre (Garfield) values its relationships with visiting students and staff and is committed to supporting visiting schools to enhance student outcomes both at Garfield and beyond.

It is imperative that prior to this application being completed, all applications are supported by the Principal and your School’s Leadership Team is fully aware of the commitment, cost and time required to plan, prepare, implement and review a Garfield Program and understand that your school are responsible for providing staff to meet overnight supervision requirements in accordance with DET Policy and the needs of your students.

Garfield is committed to ensuring that outdoor learning programs can be delivered at a reasonable cost. The per student Garfield costs includes:-

  • Accommodation

Accessing extra-curricular programs beyond Garfield North Outdoor Education Centre may incur an extra cost for visiting schools.

Visiting schools are expected to arrange all food requirements and costs as well as book, plan and provide transport to any extra-curricular programs beyond Garfield North Outdoor Education Centre.
