Throughout your program planning, always remember, it is all about the students.

Talk to the students about what they'd like to do. Offer them new experiences and opportunities to learn, grow, develop, laugh and have fun. Programs are always about the students.


 

Complete this step ten weeks prior to your program.

10 Weeks

  • Blackwood Staff will contact you to arrange Pre - program visit dates:
    1. Curriculum subjects
    2. Staff online meeting (Allow 1 hr preferably implemented 7-8 weeks prior to program)
    3. Blackwood Staff online meeting with your students & staff (Preferably implemented 4-6 weeks prior to program)
  • Discuss lesson options with your students
  • Discuss Principal approval process and procedures with relevant personnel at your school
  • Plan program budget

8 Weeks

  • Submit Blackwood aims and program selection form (to be discussed in online meeting)
  • Online meeting with Blackwood Staff to finalise program
    Blackwood staff to develop and publish program within approximately 2 weeks of online meeting
  • Complete and submit required Principal Approval documentation
  • Return the signed Blackwood and Visiting Staff Roles and Responsibilities document to Blackwood Staff

    • Download and distribute to participants the following documents:
      1. Parent/Guardian Consent Form
      2. Student Medical Form
      3. Visiting Staff Medical Form - same form at the Student Medical Form
      4. Draft Letter to Parents/Guardians
      5. Student Equipment List

        If required, action plans for the following:
      6. Allergies
      7. Anaphylaxis
      8. Asthma
      9. Diabetes
      10. Epilepsy & Seizures
  • Blackwood staff will confirm program details
  • Blackwood staff will implement an online School Visit as arranged within the next two weeks
  • Organise group gear required for your Blackwood visit

  • Confirm and order required groceries for you program
