The East Gippsland Rail Trail is a beautiful trail exploring some unique and stunning landscapes between Bairnsdale & Obsort. This gravel trail provides riders with the opportunity to learn more about the local history, flora & fauna.
Experience & enjoy riding along this wonderful rail trail, as you discover and explore a beautiful part of Victoria by rolling along the East Gippsland Rail Trail.
Our East Gippsland Ride is annually implemented during the last full week of Term 3.

Event summary
East Gippsland Ride accommodation is at Mingling Waters in Nowa Nowa, where throughout the duration of the ride, Blackwood Special Schools will have exclusive access to the campground & facilities.
- DAY 1 - Travel to Mingling Waters - Nowa Nowa
- DAY 2 - Ride Nicholson to Nowa Nowa (49 km’s)
- DAY 3 - Ride Orbost to Nowa Nowa (38 km’s)
- DAY 4 - Travel Home
